Beer Glorious Beer

To those of you who regularly follow our social channels, you’ll be well aware of our admiration of all that is produced by Brixton Brewery. Of course, there is a whole heap of self-interest in this passion, but nevertheless, we feel that credit should always be given where it is due.

For those of you not in the know, Brixton Brewery are our neighbours and friends. Like Rawside, these guys are totally invested in their local community and for being makers and providers of fine products.

Their story starts in a railway arch in 2013. Brixton Brewery was the dream of two couples who wanted to put Brixton on the map for great beer. They had met by chance in a local bar and bonded over their shared passion for beer and for the non-stop energy of the South London neighbourhood they all called home.

They agreed that every great neighbourhood deserves a great brewery, and so Brixton Brewery was born.

They infuse the flavour of Brixton into everything that they do. Their beers are named after Brixton landmarks, inspired by the flavours of its markets, and packaged in colourful cans that reference the exuberant batik fabrics sold there.

Like Rawside, they’re a family-run business rooted in their diverse and vibrant community. There’s nothing they love more than bringing people together through a shared love of beer. They work hard to brew beers that make their local community proud and help thirsty people everywhere get a taste of Brixton.

Rawside immediately clicked with the Brixton Brewery story and their ethos as there are so many parallel values.

So, it’s no surprise that Rawside had the great opportunity of partnering with Brixton Brewery in providing the furniture for their new taproom. Rawside was able to make the most of the wonderful designs that are found on their beer cans and translate them into printed tops for their tables.

They chose our Café tables and Cat bar tables then coupled them with our Wired stools to provide a lovely array of places for their customers to dwell and sup.
